What is your responsibility in making sure you have policies and procedures in place to
address them?,
One of my responsibilities in policy advocacy is identifying the right policies. This
includes policies that are already existing but need adjustments to improve care outcomes or new
policies being developed (Chism, 2021). My second responsibility is influencing those policies,
whether at the local, state, or federal level. As a DNP nurse, I have the power to advise and
influence policymakers to vote for certain policies that improve the quality of care delivered to

As a DNP leader, I have several key responsibilities. First, I educate policymakers about the impacts of specific policies on patients and the broader healthcare system (Chism, 2021).
Additionally, I promote policies that enhance access to healthcare services and improve care quality (Chism, 2021). Furthermore, I lead public education and sensitization programs to inform the community about the influence of these policies on healthcare.
In terms of leadership philosophy, I align with the Transformational Leadership Theory. This theory posits that leaders work collaboratively with their teams, guiding them to create a shared vision and implement change (Lo et al., 2018).
The cultural, ethical, and legal concepts are interrelated and have the capacity to impact
system change. For instance, cultural factors have a significant impact on people’s willingness to
accept change and adapt within a system. Therefore, there is a need for care providers to respect

The transformational theory of leadership emphasizes motivating followers to reach their full potential and drive positive change within an organization (Lo et al., 2018). I resonate with this theory because I am passionate about inspiring those who follow me.
Moreover, I believe in empowering others to take on tasks and make decisions. Another key aspect of the transformational leadership theory is that it positions leaders as role models (Lo et al., 2018).
