Practice Problem and Project Framework
In this course, students will complete implementation and evaluation their DNP scholarly project and submit a completed DNP scholarly project final paper; this is a revision and extension of the approved project proposal that was developed in NSG6802 and NSG6803. The completed DNP scholarly project final paper will provide a detailed account of all phases of the completed DNP scholarly project.
Course Objectives
This assignment enables the student to meet the following course objectives.
- Evaluate the outcomes of the DNP Project using narrative and statistical methods.,
- Develop a strategy for sustainability of an effective change and future research related to the identified practice problem.
- Disseminate the project to communities of interest.
Due Date
The first draft of the DNP Scholarly Project Final Paper is due at 11 p.m. on Friday of Week 8. The faculty will return the paper to the student with comments and feedback for revision. The final draft of the DNP Scholarly Project Final Paper is due at 11 p.m. on Friday of Week 10. Submissions later that these due times will result in an incomplete for this course and delay of confirmation of DNP degree.
Requirements
- First, introduce the determination of the practice problem, and then support it by discussing its significance. This section should be comprehensive, spanning approximately 3-5 pages. Moreover, emphasize why this problem is critical to address within the context of nursing practice.
- Next, clearly and appropriately use the PICOT format to frame the practice question. In doing so, each component of the PICOT question will be operationally defined. This section should be around 2 pages in length, as it lays the groundwork for understanding the specific inquiry guiding your project.
- Furthermore, describe the theoretical framework for the project. In this section, explain the application of the selected theory or model to your project, dedicating approximately 1-2 pages to this discussion. By doing so, you will provide a solid foundation for the rationale behind your chosen interventions.
- Additionally, conduct a focused systematic review of scholarly literature related to the practice problem. This review should explore the effectiveness of the selected intervention in achieving the desired outcomes within the specified population and setting. Consequently, you will need to effectively synthesize and concisely summarize the reviewed literature, dedicating about 5-10 pages to this critical analysis.
- Finally, describe the mission, vision, and objectives of the project, ensuring that they align with the organization’s mission and vision. Moreover, include the method through which you identified the organizational need and the support available for this initiative. This section should be approximately 1-2 pages long, providing clarity on how your project fits within the broader organizational context. APA
