I am a Vietnamese woman who was born in Vietnam but was born here in the United States. I am 25 years old. Following my arrival, I was required to rapidly adapt to a new environment and culture while simultaneously making the most of the limited resources and possibilities available to me. Early Child Development Career I decided to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Development at a community college in the area because this is a subject that I am really interested in and have wanted to work in for a very long time.
When I was a young girl in Vietnam, I discovered that dealing with children was one of my greatest passions. As I was growing up, I volunteered at many orphanages in the area, and through those experiences I gained the ability to care for and nurture young children. Because of this experience, I became interested in Early Childhood Development (ECD), and it motivated me to work toward earning a degree in ECD. I can’t wait to put this degree to use and work toward my ultimate goal of becoming a teacher.
